Monbrief Pre School Celebrates 30 Years

Monbrief Pre School Playgroup in Craigavon has celebrated its 30^th anniversary at its end of term graduation ceremony this year.

Original Playgroup Leader Mrs Ann McKernan, still leads the group today. She says almost 1000 children have passed through the playgroup in its 30 years. I have seen many changes over the years but it is lovely to see how the children have grown up and gone on to make lives of their own.

26 children graduated from Monbrief Playgroup this June.

One of the original children of the playgroup Sean Conlon went on to complete his NVQ Level 2 and is a volunteer in the group today. Six of the original children who were among the first to attend now have their own children at the playgroup.

Other special guests included Mrs Delia Van der Linden who was involved in setting up the group in 1978.
