Support for Workplaces in the Southern area
Health Matters Workplace Health and Wellbeing Support Service in partnership with the Public Health Agency.
This FREE service enables Health Matters to support workplaces in assessing health and wellbeing needs, developing a prioritised action plan, and implementing the plan whilst continually evaluating. Health Champion training is also provided to support workplace teams to maintain momentum and sustain a focus on workplace health. Business in the Community
Business in the Community is a business led charity offering advice and support to their members to improve performance and create a sustainable future for people and planet.
Head First @ Work Resources were developed in 2011 to assist managers and supervisors to identify and support staff experiencing mental health problems. This resource is now available to download or view. Training can also be delivered to workplaces using these resources on request. Action Cancer has a number of healthy lifestyle programmes and services for employees as part of workplace health or for delivery in community, club and social group settings. The programmes currently on offer include:
- Action Man 12 week health programme
- Pop up health clinics (for male and female employees
- Big Bus (breast screening and MOT checks)
- Cancer Awareness TALKS
- Why Weigh Programme
Farm Families Health Check Scheme
The scheme operates across Northern Ireland offering access to free health screening services for the farming community.

A range of Health and Lifestyle Assessments are available for workplaces including:
- Health and Lifestyle Assessment
- Cardiac Risk Factor Assessment
- Cholesterol and Body Composition Assessment
There is a cost for each of these assessments

The Man Van mobile screening unit offers free health assessments for men in the Southern Trust area.
