Volunteering opportunities in the Armagh and Dungannon area

Volunteer Vacancies in the Armagh and Dungannon Area

Befriending
Two female volunteers are required to support two young females with a disability. The volunteers’ role would involve accompanying them on social activities e.g. cinema, shopping. Needed for 2-3 hours each month or as needs demand.

Gardening
Volunteers are needed to maintain gardens at three locations: Mullinure Hospital, Armagh; Lisanally Resource Centre, Armagh; and Roxborough House, Moy. Times can be arranged to suit the volunteer.

Bus Escort
Volunteers are sought to support elderly clients of day centres. Tasks include assisting clients on and off the bus; ensuring clients have their seat belts fitted and accompanying them on their journey. Volunteers are required for around 2 hours each morning and evening - Monday to Friday.

Work Placement Support
A volunteer is required to support a young male, with a physical disability, currently on work experience at a Health Centre in Dungannon. Tasks undertaken involve general office duties including mailing envelopes and filing. Support is required every Monday from 1.30-3.30pm.
