Parenting with confidence

WHAT IS PARENTEEN?

The creation of the ParentTeen Association was facilitated through the Young Person's Project in September 1998.

It is a parenting self help group established by parents, for parents.

REFERRAL CRITERIA

Parents who have previously completed the Parent’s Support Group programme are invited to join the  ParenTeen Association.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES                  

  • Provide parents with support
  • Self help by sharing personal experiences
  • Empowerment through personal experiences
  • Opportunities in Education
  • Social outlet

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A chance to meet other parents of young people
  • Opportunities to attend courses in the community
  • STEPS to Excellence - a personal development programme
  • Women In Leadership - Open Colleges Network accredited at Level 3
  • Guest speakers on a range of issues
  • Community drugs awareness course accredited
  • Computer class: BASIC & OCR level

Venue: Young Person's Project, Bocombra

Duration: Every other Tuesday.         Time: 10.30 a.m - 12.30 p.m
