YPP Arts Project


Art Projects

The Young Persons Project has been involved in an extensive range of creative Arts Projects since 1999.

Over the years, the Project has worked in partnership with:- 

• Artscare (Northern Ireland)

• Children’s Services Planning Team

Millennium Court Arts Centre

Arts Council (Northern Ireland)

 

WHO IS IT FOR?

Programmes are open to young people aged 14 to 16 years of age, who have already been involved in the Young Persons Project.

Programmes generally run for 8 – 10 weeks, with young people meeting one evening per week.

Transport and refreshments are provided.

AIMS

  • To create the opportunity for young people to interact with each other and workers through a creative art medium.
  • To build on confidence and self-esteem
  • To create the opportunity for young people to express themselves through the medium of art. 
  • To introduce the young people to new experiences and skills stages 
  • To take the group from concept through the design stages, to the creation of an end product
  • For the piece of work to be publicly acknowledged so that it can be shared and enjoyed by a wider audience
