PODIATRY SERVICEThe Podiatry Service in Craigavon and Banbridge Community Health and Social Services Trust, promotes and provides care to those in need, in a range of both Community and Acute settings. SERVICE PROVIDEDThe service promotes self-care at all levels and across all programmes of care to ensure that those in greatest need, can benefit from regular interventions and care. Podiatrists assess, diagnose and treat diseases and conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs. This includes assessment of the vascular, neurological and orthopaedic status of the patient’s lower limbs. Following assessment, treatment plans are agreed with the patients that are focused on restoring and maintaining functional independence. Trust Podiatrists also work alongside other health and social care staff to improve peoples health and social well-being, to enable them to live as independently as possible, within their own community.
