Vision Statement

"We believe that each individual has the right to be continent. In such cases when incontinence proves to be intractable each individual will have the right to access help and advice which will promote independence, enhance self-esteem and improve quality of life."

The specialist continence service is a nurse led service staffed with 3 full time nurses who provide evidence based continence services, embracing assessment, diagnosis, specialist treatment planning, care delivery and evaluation to achieve improved health outcomes for individuals presenting with bladder or bowel dysfunction.

The service operates an open referral system and provides locality based continence clinics for both children and adults as follows -

Adult clinics

(The specialist continence team hold a caseload for mobile adults presenting with bladder / bowel dysfunction)

Locality based continence clinics are held on a weekly basis in the following areas :

Lurgan - Mon(pm), Tue(pm), Thurs(pm)

Portadown - Wednesday (all day)

Banbridge - Thursday (am)

Dromore – 2nd Thursday of every month
