Do you have Crohn’s or Colitis?
18/05/2017Can you come to a meeting in Dunsilly Hotel in Antrim on Monday 5th June (7pm to 9pm) and help us to identify how we can improve services for these conditions? What we are doing:
We want the best care for patients with IBD in Northern Ireland. We have made improvements but we know we could do better. Clinicians and patients are meeting with the people who fund Healthcare in Northern Ireland to identify our top priorities for developing this service.
Why we need you:
It is vital that any improvement is centred on what you, as patients, want and need. The only way we can determine what you would like is to meet with as many of you as possible to discuss your experiences and what your priorities would be. This is an opportunity for you to share your views with us on what we should focus on when improving the service for patients with Crohn’s and Colitis across Northern Ireland.
Who ‘we’ are:
We are the NI IBD Interest Group and we consist of clinicians and patients from Crohn’s & Colitis UK. We were established in 2008 and have been working jointly with service commissioners to ensure patients with Crohn’s and Colitis in Northern Ireland receive the best care that we can provide. We have arranged an important strategic meeting at the end of June to review what the IBD service in Northern Ireland should look like. We need to know what you as patients feel should be our priorities and would like to explore this and also how you are represented at that meeting.
What we need you to do:
