10,000 VOICES - Your opportunity to influence the future of Healthcare Services
20/01/2014The Southern Trust is keen to know what you think about its health care services and through the 10,000 VOICES project we invite you to tell us about your experiences of the care you have received.
In partnership with the Public Health Agency (PHA) the 10,000 VOICES regional project is being rolled out in all Health and Social Care Trusts and the Ambulance Trust across Northern Ireland. Through the project you, or your family or carer have an opportunity to tell us your story and what you liked or disliked about the care you received.
Fiona Wright, Assistant Director of Nursing and the lead for this project in the Southern Trust said: “This project is an opportunity for patients to tell us about their experiences so that we can improve the care we provide to them. It is also an opportunity for patients to be actively involved in shaping the future of our health care services”.
Mr Francis Rice, Director of Mental Health and Disability and Executive Director of Nursing said: “The patients’ voice is central to how we develop our services and it is important that that local people’s views are taken into account and that we listen to what they say works and what does not. We are keen to learn from our patient’s experiences and ensure that their feedback positively influences the way that we plan and deliver our care and services in the future”.
The first phase of the project is focused on health care experiences in unplanned care services – Emergency Departments, GP Out of Hours, Minor Injuries Units and Ambulance Service. If you have recently used any of these services or are currently a patient we would really like to hear about your experience. You can either complete the survey online at www.10000voices.info, or fill in a paper version of the survey copies of which are available in the Emergency Departments, GP Out of Hours and Minor Injuries Departments throughout the Southern Trust. You can return the survey free of charge using the envelope provided with the survey form.
If you want more information on how to tell us your story or if we can support you in completing the survey please contact Anne Law, Trust Facilitator for 10,000 VOICES project on 07789505502 or by email at Anne.Law@southerntrust.hscni.net
